Project Overview

As part of the St. Vrain Creek restoration, HPM worked with the City of Longmont to bring a nature-inspired park to life, earning an APWA award for the effort. This hybrid design-build/design-bid-build project blended natural elements with creative play, including a custom bike skills track and Discovery Island, a signature play area featuring water features, sensory paths, and natural climbers. The park also includes trails, picnic shelters, and restored wetland areas to enhance wildlife habitat. Designed to encourage exploration and outdoor play, the project showcases how thoughtful design and construction can connect communities with nature.
